Climate change is definitely real and we should all educate ourselves about what dangers may lie ahead of us. Luckily, some really smart people have already gathered useful information and want to give it away for free in the form of simple apps. In fact, there are different apps for all sorts of possible dangers that climate change can bring.

#CLIMATE

#Climate is an app designed to connect people on different social media in order to inform and educate them about climate change.

It is quite simple to use #Climate. First, you download the app, and then, you register and log in. Next, you pick the topics related to climate change you wish to be informed about from a list. After completing these steps you receive information about your selections and you are timely notified whenever somebody reports them happening. The main goal of #Climate is to make people all over the world inform each other about various topics related to climate change. #Climate also allows you to link your social media accounts, so all the information gathered can be shared on social media.

CHASING ICE

This app was created by James Balog during the development of his two documentaries Chasing Ice and Extreme Ice Survey. If you are interested in how climate change influences polar caps, Chasing Ice is an app for you. By installing this app you get access to a vast gallery of glaciers. These photographs are chronologically arranged, so you can see for yourself if the glaciers are melting or not.

WWF Together

WWF Together was created by the World Wildlife Fund in order to help protect endangered species and inform people about different threats to wildlife, such as deforestation, wildfires, illegal wildlife trade.

This app shows many videos, photographs, and audio-visual presentations on how climate change affects our planet and its species.

IMAGES OF CHANGE

As much as we try to record all the consequences of climate change, some of them emerge in remote and unreachable parts of the world. Thanks to the app called Images Of Change, even those events can be brought to people’s attention. Thanks to the scientists that work for NASA, this app enables us to follow all events related to climate change with the help of NASA’s satellites. Now, there is no place on earth where climate change can show its effect without our knowledge.

Thanks to these apps we can get informed about climate change and its effects on the planet, wildlife, and our lives. We should use this information to come up with some ways we can help protect the earth ourselves. If each of us makes a small contribution, together we can save the whole planet.
